Michele Pastrello (Venice) made his debut in 2006 with Nella mia mente (In my mind), a short film awarded as best short at the PesarHorrorFilmFest and selected at prestigious festivals such as Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (Pifan). His third film, 32, is like the others part of the thriller-horror genre, selected as a Special Event at the renowned Courmayeur NoirFest and at the IschiaFilmFest and awarded as best short at the ToHorrorFest. In 2011 he shot Ultracorpo (BodySnatcher), collecting a broad and positive press review (by critics and fans). Ultracorpo has been presented at Pifan again and, in Italy, at the FantasyHorrorAward 2, Fantafestival, ArcipelagoFilmFestival and Roma3FilmFestival. The short reinterprets Don Siegel's The invasion of the BodySnatcher giving it a modern twist.

Reviews and articles about Pastrello have been written by Giona A.Nazzaro, Danilo Arona, Rudy Salvagnini, Alessio Gradogna and articles about his cinema have been published on MucchioSelvaggio, Nocturno, Rumore, DylanDog, What'sUp and SegnoCinema.

In the mercyless logic of pur society, the mighty crack the weaker and the weaker succumb. Sometimes, though, you can see a glimpse of justice. Don't expect for more.

Michele Pastrello (Venice, Rome), filmaker, director, editor, video/audio post production, sound designer and musician.
